The improved management example that DOC and iwi have established at the Tongariro Alpine Crossing for the 2017-18 summer season is timely and great. It has the potential to lessen the negative social, environmental, cultural and economic impacts of on Tongariro National Park as well as improve the experience for TAC visitors.
